Coming Early 2027

Chalie x Spots — Charlie's legacy. Spots' promise. A litter guided by purpose.

Reservations: Opening Soon

For Charlie's final litter, we've chosen a pairing that reflects everything we've come to love about the German Shorthaired Pointer—and everything we've worked to preserve through the Tipsy Rabbit program.

Charlie has spent her life proving that a bird dog can be both an exceptional companion and an eager sporting partner. Her puppies have become hunting partners, hiking companions, dock divers, family adventure dogs, and devoted couch cuddlers. Just as importantly, they are known for their affectionate temperaments, trainability, versatility, and unwavering desire to be close to their people.

As Charlie's puppies have matured, several have gone on to produce the next generation, making this final litter especially meaningful. Watching her children—and now her grandpups—thrive has been one of the greatest joys of the Tipsy Rabbit journey.

To honor that legacy, we selected Mr. Spots, JH, JHR, SHR. His proven hunting ability, athleticism, trainability, and family-centered temperament beautifully complement Charlie's strengths. Just as meaningful, his pedigree shares roots with many of the respected Midwestern hunting families found behind Charlie, bringing generations of proven bird dog heritage from South Dakota to Texas while keeping health, temperament, and family life at the forefront.

Every breeding decision we make is intentional. While titles, health testing and pedigrees certainly matter, it's the whole dog that ultimately earns a place in our breeding program—and in Spots, we found a young male who embodies the qualities we value most.

This litter is expected to produce beautiful liver roan and liver & white patched/ticked puppies, each with its own unique combination of patches and ticking. We anticipate athletic, biddable puppies with natural bird-finding instincts, a strong desire to please, and the versatility to excel wherever life takes them. Given the opportunity to develop their talents, the boldest pups may one day run big beneath Texas skies, compete in hunt tests or field trials, or become exceptional hunting companions.

Most of all, we look forward to seeing them become what Charlie's puppies have always become first: beloved family members. Dogs equally at home in the field, on the trail, at the lake, or curled up beside the people they love.

This litter represents more than the blending of two pedigrees. It represents the values that have guided Charlie's legacy from the beginning: drive with purpose, companionship without compromise, and a heart for family above all else. In Spots, we found a young male whose athleticism, biddability, and family-centered temperament beautifully complement those same qualities.

As Charlie's final chapter, we couldn't imagine a more fitting tribute to the remarkable dog who helped build so much of the Tipsy Rabbit story.

Built for the field. Raised for the family.

Dedicated Breeding for Quality Pointers

Spots – Athletic, Biddable & Heart

We are excited to welcome Spots to the Tipsy Rabbit stud lineup. His athleticism, biddability, and family-centered temperament embody the qualities we strive to preserve in the German Shorthaired Pointer and make him a natural fit for our program.

At just under three years old, Spots has already proven himself as a talented and versatile GSP. He has earned his Junior Hunter (JH), Junior Hunter Retriever (JHR) titles, as well as a UKC Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) title and continues to advance his training with aspirations of competing in field trials.

A natural retriever from puppyhood, Spots is a true velcro dog who thrives on working alongside his people and always aims to please. Whether running Canicross, swimming, hunting, or spending time with his family, he approaches life with enthusiasm and determination.

In the field, Spots is competitive, cooperative, and highly trainable—earning praise from judges and professional trainers as "the type of dog you want to hunt over." At home, he is affectionate, confident, and dependable, with an excellent off switch that allows him to transition seamlessly from work mode to family life. Raised alongside two young children, he is comfortable in public settings and takes new people, loud sounds, and busy environments in stride.

Spots has completed the health testing necessary to earn his OFA CHIC number. We believe comprehensive health testing is an essential part of responsible breeding, helping preserve the long-term health, soundness, and versatility of the German Shorthaired Pointer for future generations. Our Commitment to Excellence

At the Tipsy Rabbit, we are proud to be recognized by the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program, reflecting our dedication to Health, Education, Accountability, Responsibility, and Tradition in breeding. We prioritize health, temperament, and early training, ensuring every puppy has the best possible foundation.

Beginning on day three, our puppies participate in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to support resilience, adaptability, and healthy development, alongside Early Scent Introduction (ESI), which encourages olfactory growth, boosts confidence, and early cognitive skills. We incorporate litterbox training, kennel training, and early obedience work to set them up for success. Socialization is key—our puppies are raised in our home, surrounded by family, children, adult dogs, and even cats, helping them grow into well-adjusted, confident companions.

We carefully breed for the perfect balance of drive and an “off switch”, producing dogs that excel in the field, on the water, and in canine sports—yet settle beautifully at home. Each puppy receives comprehensive veterinary care, including tail docking, dewclaw removal, a full health exam, parasite screening and their first heartworm/flea preventative. They go home with prepaid AKC registration, microchip enrollment, vet records, and a puppy starter kit for a smooth transition.

At the Tipsy Rabbit, our goal is to produce exceptional companions, performance dogs, and working partners who embody the heart and soul of the German Shorthaired Pointer breed.  We are proud to support and celebrate our dogs’ accomplishments beyond the whelping box, and provide an incentive for each AKC-recognized title or NAVHDA testing milestone earned—including achievements such as Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Junior Hunter (JH), Dock Diving (NADD), Trick Dog, Rally, FAST CAT, and NAVHDA’s Natural Ability Test. These accomplishments reflect the intelligence, drive, and versatility we strive to cultivate in every TopDog we breed.
