Meet the Exceptional Sires Behind Our Program
THE TIPSY RABBIT STUD DOGS
Our boys are more than exceptional sires—they are the living foundation of our heritage-focused breeding program. Carefully selected for their health, temperament, structure, natural ability, and proven pedigrees, each stud plays an important role in preserving the qualities that have defined the German Shorthaired Pointer for generations. Whether hunting wild birds, competing in performance sports, or unwinding at home with their families, our stud dogs embody the versatility, intelligence, athleticism, and cooperative spirit that make the breed so remarkable. Through purposefully planned pairings, they carry forward generations of thoughtfully preserved hunting heritage while helping shape the next generation of Tipsy Rabbit TopPups. Like every dog in our program, our TopDogs are cherished family members first. They live full, active lives alongside their families—sharing the couch after a day outdoors, joining every adventure, and reminding us that the very best German Shorthaired Pointers are as devoted at home as they are driven in the field. Every Tipsy Rabbit stud completes comprehensive health testing, with Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) results publicly available. We believe transparency, purposeful breeding decisions, and responsible stewardship are essential to preserving the health, integrity, and future of this remarkable breed.
Maverick – Strength, Precision, and Heart
Sire: Riden High Rudy NGDC GFC4 FC AFC SR82329304
Dam: Moxy Belle Skouson SS09177709
Maverick is the epitome of strength, athleticism, and heart. With his moderate, athletic build, functional sporting head, and effortless movement, he exemplifies the balanced, field-oriented versatility that has become a hallmark of the Tipsy Rabbit breeding program. Originally from Arizona, Maverick carries generations of proven field genetics, thoughtfully blended with the influence of renowned German versatile hunting dogs. The result is a German Shorthaired Pointer with exceptional instinct, sound structure, and a temperament equally suited for the field and the family.
A natural bird dog, Maverick's unwavering point, intensity, and eagerness to work reflect the influence of his sire, Riden High Rudy NGDC GFC4 FC AFC—a National Gun Dog Champion whose lineage is recognized for producing dogs with exceptional drive, endurance, and style. Behind him are generations of accomplished field trial families, including the renowned Palermo bloodlines, long respected for producing stylish bird dogs with exceptional instinct, intelligence, and the desire to hunt with their handler. His pedigree also traces through the distinguished vom Riverwoods breeding program by way of KS Basko von der Jydebek and KS VC Chance vom Riverwoods, preserving the German Deutsch Kurzhaar tradition of breeding complete, versatile hunting dogs with outstanding instinct, trainability, and soundness. Maverick's extended pedigree also traces to legendary National Field Champions including NFC FC Rawhide's Clown and NFC FC Uodibar's Koonas, further connecting his lineage to some of the most influential bird dogs in modern GSP history.
From these generations of purposeful breeding, Maverick consistently passes on the qualities we value most: a powerful forward hunting pattern, natural bird sense, stylish intensity on point, athleticism, biddability, and the mental toughness to perform in demanding conditions.
What truly sets Maverick apart, however, is his ability to balance that intensity with an exceptional off-switch. In the home, he is calm, confident, and deeply devoted to his family. A steadfast guardian and true Velcro dog, he is fiercely loyal to his people, gentle with puppies, and carries himself with a quiet confidence—paired with just enough goofy charm to keep us smiling. His presence is both grounding and unmistakable, making him the cornerstone of our breeding program and a dog whose influence continues to shape future generations of Tipsy Rabbit German Shorthaired Pointers.
Maverick has successfully completed all recommended OFA health screenings, earning excellent results and a CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number. His health certifications reflect our unwavering commitment to preserving the soundness, structure, and long-term health of the German Shorthaired Pointer while honoring the generations of breeders whose dedication made dogs like Maverick possible.

Goose – Speed, Intensity & Heart
Sire: Flipping the Bird SS24836602
Dam: Maverick's Dakota Duchess SS26834902
Some dogs earn their place in a breeding program. Others seem destined for it from the very beginning. Goose—litter name "Payback" from our inaugural TopDog litter—is one of those dogs.
As the son of Maverick and Charlie, Goose represents the successful blending of two bloodlines that have become the cornerstone of Tipsy Rabbit. Standing on a tall, athletic frame with exceptional reach, powerful rear drive, and effortless movement, he embodies the speed, endurance, and versatility that define the German Shorthaired Pointer at its best.
In the field, Goose is all business. He combines Maverick's athleticism and biddability, Charlie's exceptional nose and forward drive, and the relentless determination that traces back to our legacy dog, Tex. Whether following his nose after birds, retrieving with enthusiasm, or launching fearlessly into the water, Goose approaches every challenge with intensity, confidence, and an unmistakable desire to work alongside his people. His natural instincts, athleticism, and cooperative nature make him the kind of versatile German Shorthaired Pointer that embodies the breed's original purpose—even when the day's adventure simply means training, dock diving, or spending time outdoors with his family.
That same athleticism shines on the dock. A natural from his very first jump, Goose bypassed the typical progression through novice divisions and earned his North America Diving Dogs (NADD) Dock Master title in his very first season competition. With a personal best leap of 22 feet, 9 inches, he continues to showcase the explosive power, confidence, and trainability that make him such a versatile sporting dog.
Away from the field, Goose is impossible not to love. His signature wiggle butt, ever-present smile, and contagious enthusiasm have made him a favorite with everyone he meets. Beneath all that energy is a deeply affectionate, people-oriented companion who thrives on being part of the family. His playful personality, emotional intelligence, and unwavering loyalty are every bit as defining as his athletic ability.
Goose proved himself as a sire with his first litter out of Remington High Society in 2025. Their Peak Pursuit puppies inherited the qualities we had hoped to preserve—athleticism, natural drive, sound structure, biddability, and the joyful, people-loving temperaments that make exceptional German Shorthaired Pointers equally at home in the field and in the family. Watching those puppies mature has only strengthened our confidence in Goose's ability to pass on the traits that matter most, and we are excited to repeat this outstanding pairing in 2026.
Goose has successfully completed all recommended OFA health screenings and has been awarded a CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number, reinforcing our commitment to producing healthy, structurally sound, and purposefully bred German Shorthaired Pointers.
As the first homebred stud to carry the Tipsy Rabbit legacy forward, Goose represents more than the next generation—he is living proof that thoughtful breeding, careful selection, and a long-term vision can produce dogs that are every bit as capable in the field as they are cherished at home.

Odin – Confident, Driven & Heart
Sire: Beaux C SS27631907
Dam: CH Alvarado Farm's Venus Moon SS41035210
Every legacy starts somewhere, and for Tipsy Rabbit, that journey continues with Odin. This handsome black-and-white patched and heavily ticked male from Alvarado Farm Kennels represents an exciting step forward for our breeding program. Raised by our wonderful Guardian Family, Team Francis, Odin also brings a striking coloration we've long hoped to incorporate into our future generations.
Odin's pedigree reflects generations of thoughtful breeding, blending accomplished American hunting dogs with versatile European Deutsch Kurzhaar heritage. His dam, CH Alvarado Farm's Venus Moon, has earned her AKC Championship and is currently working toward her Junior Hunter title, reflecting the balance of structure, instinct, and trainability we strive to preserve. His sire, Beaux, descends from accomplished hunting and conformation lines known for athleticism, biddability, and steady temperaments. Together, they represent the qualities we value most: sound structure, natural ability, intelligence, and a genuine desire to work alongside their people.
Odin also carries the German Shorthaired Pointer's historic black-and-white coloration—a color deeply rooted in the breed's European origins and officially welcomed into the AKC breed standard in 2023. While his striking appearance is a beautiful nod to the breed's history, it is his potential as a versatile hunting companion and devoted family dog that excites us most.
Even at a young age, Odin is already showing glimpses of the dog we believe he can become. His guardian family describes him as confident and independent, yet naturally attentive, often choosing to stay close and fall into heel position while exploring the property. He approaches new experiences with curiosity and confidence and, at his very first opportunity, went full send into the pond without hesitation—a promising sign of the natural enthusiasm, courage, and willingness we value in a versatile gun dog.
As Odin continues to mature, he'll begin formal obedience, bird introduction, and field training while enjoying the adventures of everyday family life with Team Francis. We'll be watching with great anticipation as he develops into the versatile hunting companion, devoted family dog, and ambassador for the breed we believe he can become.
When the time is right, Odin will complete comprehensive health testing, including OFA evaluations and other recommended screenings, ensuring he meets the same high standards for health, structure, temperament, and versatility that guide every breeding decision at Tipsy Rabbit.
While titles and accomplishments will come with time, what excites us most is the promise Odin already shows—a young dog with the pedigree, temperament, and heart to help carry forward the future of Tipsy Rabbit, preserving the versatile German Shorthaired Pointer as it was always meant to be: built for the field and raised for the family.
“Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love, they depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog. It merely expands the heart.”
