Our Breeding Philosophy

Previously, I have owned five dogs that I got from multiple breeders. Becky is by far the best one I have dealt with. She is an excellent communicator and takes pride in the work she does with the pups. We spoke many times over the first seven weeks of Elvis' life and I feel I have made a new friend in her. From the very first timely response to our puppy inquiry all the way through bringing Gunnar home, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine love for the dogs. Watching the relationship between Rollo and Gunnar blossom has been one of the sweetest parts of bringing Gunnar home. From the very beginning, he fit right in with our very busy family and lifestyle. Honestly, Gunnar is the easiest puppy I have ever had. He is gentle and loving toward my children, my husband, and me, yet still enthusiastically rambunctious when playing with Rollo, our 3-year-old GSP. Gunnar is incredibly smart and extremely easy to train — including potty training, which has been an absolute breeze. He blended into our routine so naturally that the puppy stage has been far more enjoyable than we expected. We truly believe the early foundation and training he received made a huge difference. Becky’s communication was unlike anything we have experienced with other breeders. She kept us well informed and helped us feel bonded to Gunnar even before he came home. We credit much of Gunnar’s smooth transition and quick potty training to the excellent start he received from Becky. We could not be happier with our experience and with our wonderful boy, Gunnar.

The adult dogs are exceptionally well cared for, and each litter is treated as unique and special. The puppies are raised as cherished family dogs — nurtured, socialized, and thoughtfully prepared — until they transition seamlessly into their new homes. They do an incredible job setting their puppies up for success. Our puppy came with early kennel training, name recognition, and positive social experiences that made the transition smooth. The litter box training that is done was a HUGE help, especially since we traveled a large distance, across the country!, to bring her home. It made car travel easy and provided peace of mind regarding disease transmission while she was still young and not fully vaccinated. That level of foresight and dedication speaks volumes about their program. We absolutely LOVE our puppy, Breeze. She is beautiful, confident, and everything we hoped for and more. We would 10/10 recommend this breeder without hesitation and would choose them again in a heartbeat.

TTR is awesome! We picked up Zeus from TTR earlier this fall and the experience was great from start to finish. 1) We called TTR early to reserve a male. I am glad we did because all the pups were spoken for before they were even born. 2) Once pups were born we got daily updates with photos, videos, and notes on characteristics on each pup. This helped us pick Zeus before our first visit! 3) TTR also sent us weekly notes re how to prepare for puppy, training tips, etc. 4) Our boy Zeus (now 3 months old) is great dog. Couldn’t have asked for a better dude as family pet. 5) TTR still checks in on us / Zeus from time to time. They love these dogs! Would happily buy more GSP pups from TTR in the future!
