Planned for June/July 2026, this litter brings our story full circle—honoring the South Dakota roots that started it all, the Arizona bloodlines that shaped our foundation through Tex and Maverick, and the Texas home where our program now thrives. With a dam raised right here in our Texas program and a sire from strong Midwest working lines, this special pairing unites the heart of the South with the heritage of the Dakotas and the proven grit of the Southwest. Together, they form a true generational bridge, carrying forward the qualities that define Tipsy Rabbit: exceptional temperament, proven health, natural versatility, and undeniable heart. Nelli × Jett Jr. — A Heart & Heritage Pairing Nelli is homegrown here at Tipsy Rabbit—a true Charlie mini-me with her mama’s personality, sweetness, and instinctive drive. She carries that signature affectionate nature we love most in our GSPs, paired with her sire Maverick’s steady, cool confidence. Jett Jr. hails from the same respected South Dakota kennel as our beloved Charlie—carrying forward the heritage that first sparked our passion for the breed. He’s developed into a phenomenal hunter, showing remarkable focus, powerful drive, a strong natural point, and the kind of biddability that makes him a joy in both the field and the home. Equally at ease in the uplands or the water, he’s the definition of a true, versatile GSP. The summer of 2026 marks another milestone in the growth of the Tipsy Rabbit. Building a strong, thoughtful breeding program takes time, patience, and vision—and we’re proud to see those efforts come to life in this upcoming litter.
At the Tipsy Rabbit, we are dedicated to raising exceptional German Shorthaired Pointers in a loving home environment. A cornerstone of that commitment is our Guardian Family Program, which offers select families the opportunity to partner with us in developing the next generation of quality GSPs while providing a TopDog with a permanent, loving home.
What makes this program so special? Guardian families play a vital role in our breeding program by offering a forever home to one of our TopDogs, ensuring their health, training, and development while they remain part of our program. This unique arrangement allows our dogs to thrive in a family setting—receiving love, adventure, and stability—while contributing to the future of the breed.
Our carefully chosen Guardian Homes ensure that every one of our TopDogs is cherished as a family member, not just part of a kennel. This approach strengthens our program and guarantees that every TopPup begins their journey rooted in the values we hold most dear: health, heritage, connection and heart.
Our Commitment to Excellence
At the Tipsy Rabbit, we are proud to be recognized by the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program, reflecting our dedication to Health, Education, Accountability, Responsibility, and Tradition in breeding. We prioritize health, temperament, and early training, ensuring every puppy has the best possible foundation.
Beginning on day three, our puppies participate in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to support resilience, adaptability, and healthy development, alongside Early Scent Introduction (ESI), which encourages olfactory growth, boosts confidence, and early cognitive skills. We incorporate litterbox training, kennel training, and early obedience work to set them up for success. Socialization is key—our puppies are raised in our home, surrounded by family, children, adult dogs, and even cats, helping them grow into well-adjusted, confident companions.
We carefully breed for the perfect balance of drive and an “off switch”, producing dogs that excel in the field, on the water, and in canine sports—yet settle beautifully at home. Each puppy receives comprehensive veterinary care, including tail docking, dewclaw removal, a full health exam, parasite screening and their first heartworm/flea preventative. They go home with prepaid AKC registration, microchip enrollment, vet records, and a puppy starter kit for a smooth transition.
At the Tipsy Rabbit, our goal is to produce exceptional companions, performance dogs, and working partners who embody the heart and soul of the German Shorthaired Pointer breed. We are proud to support and celebrate our dogs’ accomplishments beyond the whelping box, and provide an incentive for each AKC-recognized title or NAVHDA testing milestone earned—including achievements such as Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Junior Hunter (JH), Dock Diving (NADD), Trick Dog, Rally, FAST CAT, and NAVHDA’s Natural Ability Test. These accomplishments reflect the intelligence, drive, and versatility we strive to cultivate in every TopDog we breed.
